Please be advised that Forests NSW and the Game Council have made a change to the Written Permission for hunting on declared State forests.

Previously, ALL dogs had to be fitted with a radio tracking device while being used for hunting on declared public land.

However, the tracking device is now not required for dogs being used for hunting that are on a leash or lead.

Note: dogs not used for hunting must always be controlled on a leash and/or confined at all times.
